Creating new land

In order to meet the growing demands of the Port of Rotterdam, a new piece of land is being created as we speak. The Maasvlakte 2 is a revolutionary project, rising new land from the sea. Thereby creating more space for industry and transport agencies. The Projectorganisation of Maasvlakte 2 contacted Syndicat to create an online platform to inform and communicate with the public.

Four ways to view content

The final version of the website will feature four different ways to view the content. Classic, Dossiers, Timeline and the Map view. Classic view features the most common way to interact with the site. Traditional structuring, with a more flashy navigation. Dossiers restructures the site content into topics, making it more easy to gather information on a certain topic you're interested in. The timeline shows the content by date, thereby revealing which topics where, or are, relevant to a certain period of the project. The Map view places content on the map, literally showing the impact the Maasvlakte 2 has on the Netherlands, and the rest of the world.

Aside from the four views, the site features a forum where people can discuss the project, and the users will be able to bookmark content in a personal profile, which is also directly linked to the BrainBox device, situated at Future Land.
